VASE TO VASE
FADE IN:
EXT. FLOWER SHOP - DAY
In the back streets of San Francisco, a postal truck is seen
leaving a package at a small decoration shop.
CUT TO:
INT. FLOWER SHOP
The OWNER of the shop is seen dusting a shelf of vases then
placing flowers into each of the vases except for one slightly different vase.
The owner steps back, admires her work then heads to the
back
A still of the of shelf of vases is shown in silence until
all the vases spring to life and start admiring each other's flowers with
appreciative looks. All except the FLOWERLESS VASE who looks at the the other
vases in confusion.
The other vases then take notice of the Flowerless Vase and
make giggling motions.
The Flowerless Vase tries to nudge its towards the other
vases in an attempt to get flowers but the other vases nudge away from him. The
rest of the vases on the higher shelf nudge up down in ridicule to the
Flowerless Vase.
A mail truck is seen driving past the the shop again. The
Flowerless Vase hopes that it is more flowers for him, but it is just a glass
case.
The Flowerless Vase then gives up and leans against the
wall. Suddenly hands grab it and the Flowerless Vase looks straightens up in
shock. The Owner picks up the Flowerless Vase and places it in a new location
behind the counter directly across from the other vases.
The shop owner steps admires her work then steps out of
frame. In confusion, the Flowerless Vase looks at the other vases who nudge
around in confusion. The the Flowerless Vase sees its own reflection in the
glass and sees that it had a wonderful floral pattern all along. The Vase moves
the curvature of its pattern to resemble a smile.
The camera pans out to reveal a price tag on the case
showing that it’s worth five thousand dollars, with a label. “Rare Blue Floral
Vase: One of a Kind”.
